Jun Kang Ye was born on December 13, 1939 in Shanghai, China in a family of 13 children and from the very beginning he had a fascination for any art form. Since 1958, he has had many shows of his own work in Joint exhibitions. He graduated from Shanghai University of Fine Arts with a major in Chinese Brush Painting in 1965. He worked as a professional artist in a government operated Art Publishing House in Shanghai for 17 years. His works at the Art Publishing House have been reproduced by the Chinese authorities for popular enjoyment & public display of their grandeur. He is also a member of the Chinese Artist Association of Shanghai.
