Bold colors, organic shapes, and energetic brushwork inspire me. I really like artwork done by 19th and 20th century abstract expressionists, surrealists, and minimalists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Franc Marc, Marc Chagall, Frank Stella. I identify with the way that abstract expressionists are inspired from within to create non-representational work

I hold degrees in Journalism, conservation of Natural Resources, and Commercial Art. My work has been exhibited in Seattle, New York, North Carolina.
