“Early on while living on a houseboat, painting and sculpting, I met Leroy Setziol whose called the father of wood sculpture in the Northwest. I was fortunate to visit twice with Roy who gave me several pieces of wood to carve. Having less access to Ron and his studio I began painting large panoramic acrylics and to carve in wood. In the last few years, I have been refining my wood sculpting skills and working on collaborative pastels that Ron Schmitt and I have become recognized for.
